Spectacular selection of paintings and works of art in this Russian Art sale, the majority of which were offered from private collections, including Aristarkh Lentulov’s vibrant Cubo-Futurist Landscape with bridge, Kislovodsk and a rare and important pair of porcelain vases by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, Period of Nicholas I. The catalogue also features major paintings from such Russian masters as Roerich, Vereshchagin, Gorbatov, Golovin and Burliuk in addition to significant pieces by Fabergé and an important group of rare Russian Silver. Joaquín Torres García was a Uruguayan / Spanish artist, was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on July 28, 1874. As an adolescent he emigrated to Catalunya, Spain, where he initiated his career as an artist in 1891.
